At the Maxwell School, we value collaborative learning environments that foster real student connections. ExecutiveMPA@Syracuse brings a community of dedicated public servants together online to share ideas, develop innovative solutions to pressing policy challenges, and prepare to drive positive change in communities worldwide through leadership, management, and analysis.
The Online Campus
The ExecutiveMPA@Syracuse campus combines the flexibility of online learning with the personal interactions of a traditional on-campus experience, helping students build real connections as they work together to address public service challenges. The online campus acts as a central hub for all of the program’s online features, including:
Live, Online Classes
Weekly, webcam-enabled classes bring students face to face with fellow accomplished leaders from across all sectors. Class sessions are led by acclaimed faculty and allow students to share their diverse insights as they work together to problem solve.
Assignments include interactive videos, real-world case studies, readings, and collaborative projects. Coursework is authored and led by Maxwell faculty and can be completed on students’ own time throughout each week.
Students can build personal profiles, join exclusive student-centered social networks, share portfolios, and develop connections with leaders from some of the top organizations throughout the public, private, and nonprofit sectors through the online learning platform.
Online campus tools can be accessed from any iOS or Android device through ExecutiveMPA@Syracuse’s mobile app. Students can watch coursework videos, submit assignments, set reminders, and track grades from anywhere.
Throughout their education, ExecutiveMPA@Syracuse students can depend on support from the Maxwell community, including:
Admissions and Student Support
An admissions counselor guides applicants through the admissions process to help them gather and submit application materials. Upon enrollment, students work with a student support advisor to manage their course load and discuss opportunities and challenges.
In addition to interactions in small online classes, students can engage one on one with faculty members to discuss grades, expand on in-class lessons, or seek professional guidance.
ExecutiveMPA@Syracuse’s technical support team is available 24/7 to help students acclimate to the online platform or resolve any technical challenges they may face.
Each year, students have the opportunity to attend an optional immersion on Syracuse University’s campus. At the immersion, students will network with fellow classmates, alumni, and faculty; work directly with our career services team; and learn from public service leaders. For students preparing for their final term, a live incubator session will take place where they will meet with the course creator and discuss the program's capstone project.
WeWork is a global community of workspaces with more than 240 locations worldwide. As an ExecutiveMPA@Syracuse student, you are granted a WeWork Global Access membership.
