At the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, we seek to educate dedicated leaders who are committed to making meaningful, positive change in the world. As such, we are invested in the success of our students and offer a wealth of career development resources, guidance, and opportunities.
1:1 Career Advising
Students in the Executive MPA online program will have the opportunity to meet personally with a career advisor to discuss career development strategies and job search needs. During these face-to-face, online guidance sessions, advisors will help students:
Focus their career goals and job search strategies
Sharpen their resumes and cover letters
Review and improve their LinkedIn profile
Utilize networking resources to get valuable career guidance
Career Development Course: Career Hub
As soon as students enroll in the ExecutiveMPA@Syracuse program, they will have 24/7 access to an ongoing virtual career center known as Career Hub. This self-guided online course helps students gain a competitive edge through a wealth of career development tools, industry-specific advice, and guidance for enhancing their personal brands.
Center for Career Development
This dedicated resource provides opportunities for students at all levels of their careers to participate in career strategy sessions, employer information sessions, career-related workshops, and networking opportunities. Learn more about the Center for Career Development.
Students have access to OrangeLink, which regularly displays job, internship, and fellowship opportunities in federal, state, and local government agencies, nonprofit organizations, private organizations, and international agencies.
Even after graduation, Maxwell welcomes the opportunity to work with our alumni in their career development endeavors. Alumni are encouraged to stay in close contact with students, faculty, and staff and have lifelong access to graduate coursework. They will continue to receive news and updates about opportunities and developments in public service.
